Our Mission
At Charlotte Band Instrument Service (CBIS), we believe that playing a musical instrument should be enjoyable, built on a solid technical foundation, inspire creativity, and match each individual's goals. We offer sales and service on all types of band instruments, as well as student rentals for the beginning musician.
Learning an instrument — like the saxophone for example— has many proven benefits. Playing music assists in children's development and enriches the lives of adults. We take great pride in providing a valuable service to those who pursue musical achievement. We help keep those Instruments in great working condition.
Instrument Repair
We can help anyone learn to care for their instrument. We are happy to guide each and every student through the basics of care and maintenance. Care and maintenance supplies and accessories are also available here. We also carry quality woodwind supplies & lubricants for brasswinds.

Haley Willis is one of our technicians as well as the shop manager. Haley has been with CBIS for more than 5 years and although she specializing in woodwind repairs and services, she does her fair share of brass cleanings, solder and dent work! Haley is also an active oboe and English horn player with a BA in music and a Masters in business from Winthrop University. Along with playing for churches, special events and with the Carolinas Wind Orchestra she also teaches private lessons. She is also a proud member NAPBIRT!
